Advanced Laser Technology With Clinical Assessment
The YT Medical Laser Centre brings together advanced laser technologies for hair removal, skin resurfacing, pigmentation, tattoo removal, scarring and selected skin concerns. Different lasers interact with the skin in very different ways, so choosing the right technology is just as important as choosing the treatment itself.
Our Laser Centre includes SHR Laser Hair Removal, CO₂ Fractional Laser and Pico Laser technology, allowing treatment to be planned according to the patient’s concern, skin type and desired outcome. Every pathway begins with an appropriate consultation and assessment, with patch testing undertaken where required before a full treatment is performed.
Laser Hair Removal
Laser Hair Removal provides progressive reduction of unwanted facial and body hair by directing controlled light energy towards pigment within suitable hair follicles. Because hairs move through different stages of growth independently, treatment is normally provided as a course rather than as a single appointment.
YT Medical offers laser hair removal for the face and body, including selected intimate areas and full-body treatment. Your consultation allows us to assess hair colour, skin type, treatment area, previous hair-removal methods and any factors that may influence suitability.
CO₂ Fractional Laser
CO₂ Fractional Laser is an ablative resurfacing technology used for selected concerns involving skin texture, lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, surgical scars and stretch marks. Fractional treatment creates controlled microscopic treatment zones within the skin while leaving surrounding areas untreated, allowing the healing and remodelling process to develop progressively.
Because CO₂ resurfacing is a more intensive laser procedure, treatment planning needs to take account of skin type, pigmentation risk, medical history, expected downtime and the nature of the concern being treated.
Pico Laser
Pico Laser technology delivers extremely short pulses of energy and can be used across selected treatments involving tattoos, semi-permanent makeup, pigmentation and skin rejuvenation. Different wavelengths and treatment settings may be selected according to the target within the skin.
Pico treatments available at YT Medical include Tattoo Removal, Semi-Permanent Makeup Removal, Pigmentation Treatment, Carbon Laser Facial and selected acne and acne-scar treatments.
Choosing the Right Laser Treatment
A consultation is important because concerns that appear similar may require very different treatment. Pigmentation, for example, can have several causes and not every pigmented lesion should be treated with a cosmetic laser. Likewise, skin texture caused by superficial damage requires a different approach from deeper acne scarring.
We assess the treatment area, skin type, medical history, previous procedures and realistic objectives before recommending a laser pathway. Where a concern requires medical or dermatological assessment before cosmetic laser treatment, this will take priority.
