Regenerative Hair Restoration
Supporting Hair Through Regenerative Treatment
Regenerative hair restoration brings together a range of treatments designed to support the biological environment surrounding functioning hair follicles.
At YT Medical, these therapies sit within a wider assessment-led approach to hair loss. They are not presented as universal solutions, and the treatment recommended will depend on the underlying condition, existing follicular activity, scalp health and individual objectives.
Our regenerative hair-restoration services include Exosome Therapy, Polynucleotide Therapy, Mesotherapy, Carboxytherapy and selected clinician-led medical treatments.
Who May Be Suitable?
Regenerative treatment may be considered for selected patients experiencing concerns such as:
- Male or Female Pattern Hair Loss
- Progressive thinning
- Reduced hair density
- Follicular miniaturisation
- Changes in hair quality
- Existing hair they would like to preserve or support
These treatments rely on viable follicles being present. They cannot recreate follicles that have been permanently destroyed through established scarring alopecia.
Where an inflammatory, autoimmune or medical cause of hair loss is suspected, appropriate management or investigation may need to take priority.
Different Treatments, Different Evidence
Regenerative hair restoration is a rapidly developing area, and the evidence supporting individual treatments is not equal.
Some approaches have been investigated more extensively than others, while newer therapies such as extracellular-vesicle or exosome-based treatments remain at an earlier stage of clinical research. Recent reviews describe encouraging early results but also highlight small studies, inconsistent protocols and the need for larger controlled trials.
YT Medical takes this into account when discussing treatment options and expected outcomes.
A Personalised Treatment Plan
Depending on your assessment, regenerative therapy may be considered alone or alongside other aspects of hair restoration, including:
- PRP or PRF
- Laser Hair Retention Therapy™
- Medical Microneedling
- Hair and scalp therapies
- Medical hair-loss management
- Hair transplantation
Combination treatment is recommended only where there is a clear rationale for doing so.
Monitoring Your Progress
Hair restoration takes time. Where treatment is undertaken, progress may be reviewed using clinical assessment, photography and digital trichoscopy where appropriate.
The objective is to assess changes over a meaningful period rather than relying on short-term impressions immediately after treatment.
Begin With a Hair & Scalp Assessment
If you are interested in regenerative hair restoration, the first step is understanding the type and stage of hair loss you are experiencing.
Following assessment, we can explain which options may have an appropriate role in your individual treatment plan.
