Sunekos is an injectable regenerative treatment combining hyaluronic acid with a specific mixture of amino acids. Rather than being used primarily to create volume or reshape facial features, the treatment is designed to support biological processes involved in maintaining the extracellular matrix — the structural environment surrounding cells within the skin.

At YT Medical, Sunekos may be considered for patients experiencing changes in skin quality, elasticity, hydration and fine lines who would prefer a gradual regenerative approach. The treatment can be particularly relevant where the skin itself is the principal concern rather than significant structural volume loss.

What Can Sunekos Be Used For?

Sunekos may be considered for selected areas where the skin has become thinner, less elastic or more visibly affected by fine lines. The treatment is often associated with delicate facial areas and may form part of a wider approach to facial rejuvenation where supporting skin quality is the main objective.

The under-eye region is one area that patients frequently ask about, but not every concern around the eyes is caused by poor skin quality. Hollowing, prominent eye bags, pigmentation, fluid retention and structural changes can all create a tired appearance and may require very different treatment. An assessment is therefore important before deciding whether Sunekos or another approach is appropriate.

How Does Sunekos Work?

Sunekos formulations combine non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid with amino acids selected to support processes associated with the skin’s extracellular matrix. Hyaluronic acid contributes to hydration within the skin, while amino acids provide building blocks involved in the production of structural proteins.

The treatment is administered through a series of small injections across the selected area. Rather than creating an immediate filler-style change, the objective is to support gradual improvement in tissue quality as the treatment course progresses.

What Does Treatment Involve?

Sunekos is generally provided as a treatment programme rather than a single isolated procedure. The number and spacing of appointments will depend on the formulation being used, treatment area and individual patient.

Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising or small raised areas can occur around injection sites. These generally settle as the area recovers. Because improvement is regenerative and gradual, the final outcome should not be judged immediately after treatment.

Sunekos or Another Skin Treatment?

Several treatments available at YT Medical are designed to improve skin quality, but they do not all work in the same way. Depending on your age, skin condition and objectives, we may discuss Profhilo, Polynucleotides, Skin Boosters, PRP, PRF or collagen-stimulating treatments as alternatives.

For patients with more significant volume loss or tissue laxity, a treatment focused on structural support or tightening may be required instead. The best approach may also involve improving skin quality first and considering other concerns separately.
